The installation, which can be realized in four cubic meters, was created to enhance the characteristics of the aluminum foam: the smooth-rough contrast of the surface, the metallic coldness, the visual heaviness that does not correspond to the physical lightness, the presence of the cells. The viewer plunges into a space similar to a crater, consisting of metal steps superimposed irregularly and slightly illuminated by cold lights, filtered by porous slabs, which simulate those of imaginary spaceships or distant stars. The hostile and detached atmosphere disorients and at the same time stimulates the exploration of a new “planet”.
